MACtac supplies pressure-sensitive adhesive label materials for the Winter Holidays series.

With stamps featuring a reindeer, snowman, gingerbread man and toy soldier, it's difficult not to become wrapped up in holiday cheer this season as the United States Postal Service (USPS) issues its holiday postage stamps – Winter Holidays. MACtac® supplied the pressure-sensitive adhesive label materials for the more than 1.3 billion 44-cent first-class stamps issued, available in booklets of 20.

The stamps feature a medley of holiday scenes to complement the upcoming season. Stamps featured in the series include: a holiday reindeer decorated with a red ornament; a classic snowman complete with top hat, coal buttons and a carrot nose; a gingerbread cookie decorated with holiday icing; and a nutcracker toy soldier. Each stamp is designed with snow flurries and holiday borders, adding to the seasonal splendor.

“The holidays are a time for sending warm wishes to family and friends,” said Allison Hazel, marketing manager, MACtac Printing Products. “Supplying the adhesive for the Winter Holidays series allows MACtac to play a role in observing a season that celebrates joy and love for so many.”

The Winter Holidays stamp series is artist Joseph Cudd's first Postal Service stamp project. The designs were sketched by hand, and then finished with a graphics tablet on a computer. Cudd created the stamp design with the direction of Richard Sheaff of Scottsdale, AZ.

MACtac has been a qualified supplier for USPS stamps for more than six years, providing materials for a number of pressure-sensitive stamps, including “Forever,” “Flags of Our Nation,” “Olympic Games,” “Wedding Rings” and “Simpsons.” For more information about MACtac Roll Label, call (800) 255-9733 or visit www.MACtac.com/RollLabel.
