The Houston Chronicle reports that major energy companies operating along and in the Gulf of Mexico are starting to bring operations back up to speed after pausing for Tropical Storm Edouard's passage.

The storm, which developed quickly and relatively close to the Gulf Coast, left most oil and gas infrastructure situated in deeper waters unaffected. It came ashore near the Louisiana-Texas border this morning, and is beginning to weaken. A tropical storm warning remains in effect between Cameron, Louisiana, and San Luis Pass, Texas. The hurricane watch has been cancelled.
