2008 Pan Pac Call for Papers Issued





The 2008 Pan Pacific Microelectronics Symposium will be held at the Sheraton Kauai Resort on the island of Kauai, Hawaii from January 22-24, 2008. This event promotes international technical interchange and provides a premier forum for extensive networking among microelectronics professionals and business leaders throughout the Pacific Basin.

Sponsored by the SMTA, the Symposium focuses on the critical business markets and technologies of microelectronic packaging, interconnection, microsystems, nanotechnology, and assembly. The Program Committee is seeking participants to present recent research results on any of the following topics:

  • Packaging
  • Interconnection
  • Markets
  • Assembly
  • Microsystems and Nanotechnology
The general chair for the 2008 Pan Pac Symposium is Zhu Jian, Alcatel Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd. Technical chairs for 2008 are Soren Norlyng, MICROCONSULT, Alan Rae, Ph.D., NanoDynamics, and M. Juergen Wolf, Fraunhofer Institute.

Abstracts of 500 words should be submitted by July 20, 2007, with title and author contact information. For on-line submissions, visit the Call for Papers page of the Pan Pacific event Web site at: www.smta.org/pan_pac/call_for_papers.cfm.

Abstracts may also be submitted to SMTA administrator JoAnn Stromberg by email: joann@smta.org. Abstracts should describe results from experiments and new techniques that focus on technical or economic data.
