Pittsburgh Conference Announces Pittcon 2008 Call for Papers

Web Address: http://www.pittcon.org

The Pittsburgh Conference has released a Call for Papers for the 59th annual Pittcon® Conference and Expo. Pittcon 2008 will be March 1-7, 2008, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, in New Orleans, LA.

The Pittcon 2008 Technical Program features comprehensive coverage at the forefront of analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis. The 2008 Program Committee has selected 60 invited symposia, including 11 awards, featuring world leaders in their respective areas of expertise.

The Program Committee solicits abstracts of original, previously unpublished findings in all aspects of instrumental analysis including but not limited to chromatography, molecular and atomic spectroscopy, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, and lab-on-a-chip technology. The Committee also seeks abstracts addressing novel applications of measurement science in areas such as nanotechnology, biomedicine, neurochemistry, genomics, forensics, informatics and quality assurance, as well as pharmaceutical, environmental, polymer, and food science.

New for Pittcon 2008 is the LAB 2015 poster session, a gathering of emerging laboratory technologies which will give start-up and early-stage companies and entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their novel technology, innovative scientific concept or creative business model to a targeted audience and potential investors and partners. The goal of the LAB 2015 is to explore promising new technology solutions that are currently available but are still one to three years away from widespread adoption.

For full consideration, abstracts must be received by Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Abstracts may only be submitted electronically via the Technical Program link at www.pittcon.org. Contact Becky Hackley, Pittcon Program Coordinator, at (800) 825-3221 or (412) 825-3220 ext. 219 for assistance or additional information.
