HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. – The Second International Symposium on Contact Angle, Wettability and Adhesion has issued a call for papers. The symposium will be held June 21-23, 2000, at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, N.J.

The symposium will focus on both the fundamental and applied aspects of contact-angle measurements. Issues such as the applicability and validity of various measurement techniques, and the proper theoretical framework for the analysis of contact-angle data will be of prime concern. In addition, a host of applications of the contact-angle technique will be explored. Further focus will be on the use of contact-angle data in evaluating surface-modification procedures, determining relevance of wettability to adhesion, and the role of wettability in bioadhesion.

Those interested in presenting a paper should send a 200-word abstract by February 15, 2000, to Dr. Robert H. Lacombe, Conference Chairman, 3 Hammer Dr., Hopewell Junction, NY 12533; fax 212-656-1016; or rhl@mstconf.com.
