Bayer Polymers LLC, Pittsburgh, and thePolyOne Corp., Cleveland, have formed a joint venture for the development, production and marketing of polyurethane systems in the United States and Canada. Each company will own 50 percent of the new joint venture, which will be known as BayOne Urethane Systems LLC. It will be headquartered in St. Louis.

Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, Middleboro, MA, has expanded its product offerings by acquiring the texture products division of CNS Farnell, formerly known as the Stevens line of Texture Analysers. Its products include the standardized Stevens LFRA Texture Analyser and the QTS-25 Texture Analyser.

Degussa Subsidiary Announces Name Change

PARSIPPANY, NJ – Degussa has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, formerly known as Aztec Peroxides LLC, has changed its name to Degussa Initiators LLC. Degussa Initiators is a component of the company’s Catalysts & Initiators business unit, and is located in Elyria, OH.

International Specialty Products (ISP), Wayne, NJ, and Polymer Chemistry Innovations, Tucson, AZ, have formed an alliance to manufacture, market and distribute Aquazol polymers for use in the digital printing and imaging, adhesives, and other markets.
