BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Center for Adhesive and Sealant Science at Virginia Tech, in partnership with the Adhesive and Sealant Council Education Foundation, will offer a unique lecture-laboratory short course aimed specifically at the adhesive and sealant industry. The Adhesion Science Short Course will be held May 13-18, 2001, at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Va. Virginia Tech faculty will teach the course.

Some of the course topics include: stresses in bonded joints; adhesive parameters; waterborne technology; types of adhesives; adhesive selection; wood adhesion; accelerated weathering; pressure sensitive adhesive technology; properties and analysis of solid surfaces; adhesive characterization and thermal properties; and durability and design.
