Rohm and Haas forecast sales of acrylic-backed carton-sealing tapes to approach, if not exceed, three million miles in year one of the new millennium.

PHILADELPHIA – Rohm and Haas Co., makers of RoSeal™ acrylic adhesives, forecast sales of acrylic-backed carton-sealing tapes to approach, if not exceed, three million miles in year one of the new millennium.

Assuming a typical tape width of three inches, enough tape will be used in the year 2000 to wrap around the earth over 100 times. Acrylic tapes are widely used for carton sealing since they meet user requirements for fast application and secure sealing.
