Dock Resins has been designated a “Star Site” by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

LINDEN, N.J. — Dock Resins Corp. has been designated a “Star Site” by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This is the highest award that OSHA offers, and Dock Resins is one of the first smaller companies in the country to be honored. The designation follows Dock’s earlier honor as a “Merit Site” under OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).

The VPP is designed to recognize outstanding achievement in incorporating comprehensive safety and health programs into total-management systems; to motivate others to achieve similar results; and to establish an employer-employee-OSHA relationship based on cooperation rather than coercion. To earn the Star Site designation, Dock had to satisfy these requirements and had to bring its “days lost” due to accidents below the national average for companies in its industry.
