With ever-present environmental issues in mind, S+E Research has developed a UV silicone-coated thermal paper that enables laminators to manufacture self-wound labelstock. The T-Liner is designed to reduce costs in transport, storage and waste disposal, to mention just a few of the advantages for end users. Thermal self-wound linerless products are designed for tracking/logistic applications where there is a need for portable or handheld mobile print and display labels. This lower-caliper construction enables more meters per roll and fewer roll changes for maximum efficiencies. The growth in supermarket self-serve price-weigh labels as it relates to release liner disposal has driven this development as well, achieving as much as 65% more labels per reel.
