Adhesives Research, Inc. now offers ARclean 90178 and ARclean 90176, two next-generation, electronically clean, low-outgassing adhesives with improved conformability designed for perimeter spacer bonding in resistive touch screens and other similar electronic devices. Adhesives are commonly used around the perimeter when assembling the two conductive planes in resistive touch screens. However, conventional adhesives can contribute to corrosion and oxidation in these devices, affecting electrical performance. When used as a perimeter spacer tape, ARclean adhesives preserve linearity and have virtually no significant effect on electrical performance because of their non-corrosive and low-outgassing properties. These tapes have low extractable anions and offer excellent resistance to environmental aging with the ability to withstand temperature and humidity extremes.
