I&J FISNAR: SCARA Robots
August 16, 2004
The TMB200R and TMB300R series of industrial SCARA robots are ideal for applications that require high speed and a large working area, offering greater flexibility for automated manufacturing environments, including conveyors and work cells. SCARA is an acronym for Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm, indicating that the robot is multi-jointed, similar to a human arm. These new robots use digital servo-controlled motors and ball screw transmission to ensure high repeatability. Multiple I/O communications and RS232C external interface are provided for machinery and conveyor integration. Both TMB200R and TMB300R SCARA robots include tool rotation (4-axis robots).
