Editor Teresa McPherson's monthly roundup

Teresa McPherson

In addition to our regular editorial, this month's issue incorporatesASI EndUser:Adhesive Fasteners/Structural Adhesives. This special section includes editorial of interest to users of adhesives and sealants for assembly applications. Articles include a case study on how a solar panel manufacturer benefited from an air-free solder dispenser (p. 40) and feature stories that examine the characteristics of various structural adhesives. Particularly noteworthy is an article that looks at The Henkel Innovation Center, a facility where the latest appliance designs are torn apart in order to analyze and solve an OEM's performance and cost concerns. The teardown process allows the appliance company to locate cost-saving applications they otherwise might have missed.
