Cognis Corp.’s Polymers, Coatings and Inks business segment, Ambler, Pa., announces distributor changes for its high-performance epoxy curing agents. The company’s epoxy curing agents, which are sold under the Genamid(r), Versamid(r) and Versamine(r) tradenames, will be distributed by Brenntag West, E W Kaufmann, Fitz Chem, McCullough & Associates, and Palmer Holland.

The Dow Chemical Co., Midland, Mich., was recently awarded the National Medal of Technology by the President of The United States, George W. Bush, in a ceremony at the White House. Dow was awarded “for the vision to create great science and innovative technology in the chemical industry and the positive impact that commercialization of this technology has had on society.” The National Medal cites technical breakthroughs that, when combined with existing capabilities, enabled the development of new, advanced products that offer consumers many benefits.

Plasticolors Inc., Ashtabula, Ohio, has recently selected independent sales and distribution representatives to market its products. Indiana Naval Stores Co., Inc. (Insco), will distribute products to the Midwest. Burks Inc. will cover the Southeast, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Min-Chem Canada Inc. will open new territory for Plasticolors in Eastern Canada, including Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime Provinces. George C. Brandt Inc. will distribute the company’s products throughout the upper Midwest, including Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and North and South Dakota.

Resolution Performance Products L.L.C., Houston, announced plans to launch the EPIKURE brand for the company’s global epoxy curing agent product line. The move consolidates the former EPICURE brand used in North America and the EPIKURE brand employed in Europe and other overseas markets. No other product name changes will occur, the company said.

Seegott Inc., Streetsboro, Ohio, has announced that Seegott West, one of its six regional offices, has moved its Orange, Calif., office and Los Angeles warehouse to new facilities in Cerritos, Calif., to accommodate its growing business. The new location includes over 60,000 square feet of warehouse space into a new, more modern building.
