National Adhesives: Hot Melt Product Adhesive
National Adhesive offers the hot melt product, COOL-LOK 34-207B adhesive, which sets in 2 to 3 seconds and bonds well to difficult board stocks, including recycled and high performance liners. This specialty adhesive forms strong bonds with some coated substrates, solid bleached sulfate board, clay-coated newsprint and corrugated. The adhesive has a set time of 1 to 2 seconds and also serves well for tray forming, according to the manufacturer. When applied at 250 degrees F, the adhesive improves safety and reduces energy costs. Also, its thermal stability prevents char formation, reduces maintenance costs and extends equipment service life.
