Dymax: Adhesive Forms
The Dymax 848 Gel is a high-strength adhesive designed for mating pot core and e-core halves. Bond strengths to 3,000 psi are achieved between closely mating halves. Its strong gap cure ensures the formation of high performance bonds. The adhesive fixtures in 45 to 60 seconds at room temperature, eliminating ovens, cool down time and the additional handling associated with heat cure epoxies. This fast fixture time reduces automated assembly costs and eliminates off-line manual processing steps. Steps such as Q.C. testing may be brought in line.
