This company has developed a new type of open hopper pump to transport extremely viscous products and dewatered sludge cake. The pump can transport materials up to three million cps and municipal wastewater sludge with over 50% solids. The design utilizes a feed auger that operates completely separately from the pump rotor shaft. This allows the auger to operate concentrically and to be driven at a speed that is independent from the pump speed. The design completely separates the fluid shearing action from the pumping rate.
