Bostik Findley, Inc.'s new web adhesive, Sharnet SPA128, was based upon a modified high performance nylon resin and is ideally suited for use in automotive interior trim applications including headliners, package trays and door inserts. Sharnet SPA 128 was developed to meet the needs of the changing automotive industry, specifically new olefin based components that are being introduced into the vehicle interior. Designed to bond to thermoformable olefine substrates, Sharnet SPA 128 provides the necessary temperature resistance needed in today's automobiles, while still processing in existing headliner equipment. Sharnet SPA 128 is supplied in an open web pattern and can be laminated to textiles, urethane foam or non-woven substrates by means of flame lamination, heated drum or flatbed laminators. Fast setting and resistant to plasticizer migration, Sharnet SPA 128 provides excellent green strength properties. It is supplied in a range of basis weights from 0.8 ounces to 1.2 ounces per square yard and is available in widths up to 70 inches. Sharnet SPA 128 will be featured in the company's exhibit at TechTextil in Atlanta, Mar. 30 - Apr. 1, booth #425; and at IDEA '04 in Miami Beach, Apr. 27 -29, booth #1956.
