An estimated 75 new jobs will be created at MACtac's Columbus, IN, manufacturing facility as the result of a 130,000 sq. ft. expansion, targeted to be completed by the fourth quarter of this year. The Columbus facility manufactures pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) materials and is one of the most modern coating and finishing facilities in North America. With headquarters in Stow, OH, MACtac supplies PSA materials for a wide range of industries. "We are committed to the continual upgrading of our facilities, including Columbus, which is considered to be one of the most state-of-the-art coating operations in North America," said William F. Austen, president and C.E.O. of MACtac. "This latest investment supports our initiative of improving our production capability and service cycle time." Pressure sensitive material manufactured at the Columbus facility supports the roll and sheet products business of MACtac, which provides high quality papers and films to roll label converters as well as litho and digital printers. The Columbus site is also MACtac's primary North American distribution center for MACmark and IMAGin films for the large format graphics market.
