Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals

Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemicals, Chicago, has appointed Durr Marketing Associates, Inc., as its distributor of polymer additives in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. Akzo has also appointed Azalea Color Co. as its distributor of polymer additives in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Degussa Corp.

Degussa Corp., Parsippany, N.J., has named Palmer Supplies Co., North Olmstead, Ohio, as an official distributor of its organosilanes product line in the Midwest. Degussa has also named Stochem, Inc., Brampton, Ontario, as the official distributor of its organosilanes product line in Canada.

DRUMNET(r) SA of Switzerland

DRUMNET(r) SA of Switzerland, a worldwide association of leading steel drum manufacturers, has announced a global supply agreement with The Dow Chemical Co., Midland, Mich., for supply of large steel drums across the globe. DRUMNET will supply standardized 217-liter steel drums to multiple Dow Chemical operations and filling partners located in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Supply-chain improvements are also a common goal of both organizations under this agreement.

EKATO Corp.

EKATO Corp., Ramsey, N.J., a leading manufacturer of fluid-mixing equipment, has opened an office in Houston to better serve its customers in the Gulf Coast region. The office is headed by Wayne Harris, formerly general manager of Klaus Union.

Euram Chemicals Group

Euram Chemicals Group in the U.K. has been named distributor for polysulphide resin used in specialized sealants and coatings for Kazan in the Russian Federation. Euram will distribute the products in the United States, Canada, and Central and South America.

Sartomer Co.

Sartomer Co., Exton, Pa., has added Brenntag to its distributor network. Brenntag will distribute Sartomer's entire monomer, oligomer and photoinitiator product lines to several regions of the United States.

Sunbelt Corp.

Sunbelt Corp., Rock Hill, S.C., has appointed CHEMCENTRAL Dye & Pigment Division, Romulus, Mich., as an authorized distributor for its new Morfast line of solvent dyes for the foil and adhesive coating, printing ink, market pen, and ink-jet industries. CHEMCENTRAL will be marketing the line of 14 products in all parts of North America.
