CrossCheck is a highly sensitive electrical resistance measuring device designed to measure electrical resistances at levels previously possible only with expensive, laboratory bench-scale instrumentation. The unit consists of a small hand-held meter and a disposable sensor. A sample is placed on an interdigitated electrode on the sensor probe; the sensor is then inserted into the meter and resistance is measured. Resistance and temperature are read directly on the meter screen or by computer through a serial interface. A Windows computer program supplied with the CrossCheck provides both live-time display and data archival in an Excel-compatible format. Examples of applications include: determination of curing rates; determination of product-age effects; monitoring of fluid composition; and monitoring of contaminants in product and raw materials.
