Bostik Inc.’s Construction & Industrial (C&I) Business Unit has promoted Scott Banda to fill the new position of business manager - Consumer Products Group. In this role, Banda is charged with sourcing innovations from within Bostik’s global product portfolio, as well as launching new solutions where applicable and bringing them to the consumer channel. Initially, he will focus on growth opportunities in the consumer/do-it-yourself segment for Bostik’s flooring installation systems: hardwood, ceramic, carpet/vinyl, cement patch, rubber and resilient flooring, and green building innovations.

Banda joined Bostik in 2004 as Carpet, Vinyl & Cement Patch product manager. In December 2007, he advanced to Product & Market Development manager. In August 2008, Banda was promoted to market manager – Ceramic Installation Systems. He also was charged with spearheading Bostik’s market development activities in the rubber flooring arena.

Banda will report directly to Robert McNamara, director of Marketing & Sales for Bostik’s Flooring Group within the C&I Business Unit.

Banda holds a B.S. in marketing from Bentley College in Waltham, MA, and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston. He recently received a Certificate in Sustainable Design from the Boston Architectural College in Boston. Prior to 2004, Banda served global chemical industry leaders such as Loctite Corp, ITW, Courtaulds Aerospace and Ecolab in various sales, marketing, and product development roles.
