Exxon Mobil Corp. recently announced that Donald D. Humphreys, senior vice president and principal financial officer, has announced plans to retire on February 1, 2013, after more than 36 years of service. Humphreys has been a member of the corporation’s management committee since January 2006. In addition to his financial management role, he has also been responsible for ExxonMobil’s fuels, lubricants and specialties marketing and global services operations.

Humphreys joined Exxon Chemical Co. in 1976 and had several assignments in Houston, Baton Rouge and Baytown before becoming senior financial advisor at Exxon Corp. in New York. At the time of the Exxon and Mobil merger in 1999, Humphreys was named vice president and controller of Exxon Mobil and later elected vice president and treasurer of Exxon Mobil.
