International Paint LLC recently announced the management team responsible for overseeing U.S. operations of its Protective Coatings Centers in the U.S. and Canada. Gary Ferguson has been named vice president of Distributor Sales & Store Operations, and Nick Butler has been appointed manager, Store Operations.

Ferguson is responsible for managing all U.S. Protective Coatings Centers’ operations, including all distributor sales initiatives. He is an AkzoNobel veteran of more than 28 years, having most recently served in the Decorative Paints North America division as regional manager, Sales & Operations for the Northeast region. He also held multiple sales and operations positions, including national accounts manager for Canada.

Butler will lead the Protective Coatings Centers’ team in delivering customer service, training and development, procedural compliance, and strict adherence to HSE&S standards. He has served the AkzoNobel Decorative Paints North America division for more than 23 years, holding a number of field management positions in the U.S., with specific focus in the operational management of company-owned stores.

“We are delighted to have Gary and Nick take the helm of our new Protective Coatings Centers,” said Chris Tiernay, vice president for Protective Coatings North America. “Their wealth of hands-on management expertise will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless transition to customer-direct sales, and in the quality of our customers’ product procurement experience.”
