METTLER TOLEDO recently announced a free webinar, “Good Dropping and Softening Point Practice,” taking place at 11:00 a.m. EST on April 4. Participants will learn how to effectively characterize these substances through the determination of dropping and softening points.

The determination of dropping and softening points is reportedly one of the few methods to thermally characterize certain substances. As the determination of these values depends upon the measuring method used, thorough standardization is required. This webinar will cover principles of dropping and softening point determination; standards for dropping and softening point testing;  applications in various industry segments; and practical tips and hints for correct sample preparation and testing.
