This company’s automotive group recently announced the launch of a social media presence centered on vehicle lightweighting. “Lighten Up” features key information and resources regarding the essential role adhesives and surface treatments play in enabling vehicle lightweighting. Resources include a blog at www.henkelna.com/lightenup and a Twitter feed, @HenkelAuto_NA.

“Lightweight materials like aluminum and composites require different joining and coating methods,” said Chuck Evans, senior vice president and general manager, Automotive group. “Adhesives are often the only possible option in joining these materials together and new coating options are essential in ensuring corrosion prevention of mixed materials.”
