AkzoNobel recently announced the appointment of Marten Booisma as the company’s new Executive Committee member responsible for Human Resources. The appointment is effective October 1.

Booisma has been chief Human Resource officer at Royal Ahold since 2007; he will succeed Marjan Oudeman, who is leaving AkzoNobel to become president of Utrecht University.

“We are delighted to have appointed someone of Marten’s caliber and reputation,” said Ton Büchner, CEO. “He has significant international HR experience and brings a strong combination of leadership development, business transformation experience, team building capabilities, and leadership skills to his new role and our leadership team.”
