Univar Inc. recently announced the appointment of Marco Antonio Quirino as its new president of Univar Brazil. Quirino will manage the company’s Brazil business and operations, and will report to Erik Fyrwald, president and CEO.

Quirno reportedly brings more than 25 years of experience in the chemical industry, and has extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving growth and managing operations and partner relationships across Univar’s key industries. He replaces Normand Goyer, interim president, whom he will work with to transition over the coming weeks.

“We are excited to welcome Marco to the company as president of Univar Brazil,” Fyrwald said. “His extensive background in the industry and his strong expertise in both specialty and commodity chemicals will enable us to strengthen our relationships with suppliers and further expand our customer base. I look forward to working with him as we enhance our footprint in Brazil and throughout South America.”
