Croda International Plc. recently announced it has completed the acquisition of the Specialty Products business of Arizona Chemical. The acquisition reportedly brings Croda a portfolio of oil gelling polymers, further expanding the company’s footprint in the polymers arena, as well as strengthening its position as a leader in specialty chemicals from renewable resources.
“We are pleased to expand our portfolio of effects with this acquisition,” said Keith Layden, chief Technology officer for Croda. “The varied functionality of these specialized polyamides as film formers, water-repellent agents, polymeric emulsion stabilizers, structuring agents, rheology modifiers, pigment stabilizers and active delivery systems will be a valuable addition to our offerings across all the market sectors serviced by Croda. In addition, we see many opportunities to further differentiate the technology and create value for ourselves and our customers.”
