TRITON™ HW-1000 surfactant high-performance wetting agent is now available in North America. This non-APE-based surfactant reportedly meets growing performance needs for water-based formulations to meet low- and no-VOC regulatory requirements in multiple industries, while also addressing industry requirements for faster processing. The surfactant can be used in applications such as adhesives, coatings, and printing and inks.

The surfactant reportedly features excellent wetting and leveling performance, and can demonstrate low foaming and defoaming capabilities. It can reduce the surface tension of waterborne solutions under both static and dynamic statuses. Thus, it is reportedly capable of wetting various substrates and more successfully reducing defects while improving the gloss and smoothness of coating films. TRITON HW-1000 has demonstrated capabilities in helping to improve solution flow in formulated systems.
