Emerald Polymer Additives Completes Upgrades

Emerald Polymer Additives, a business group of Emerald Performance Materials, recently announced it has completed a series of process control upgrades for its U.S.-based rubber accelerators product line in Henry, Ill. The upgrades are intended to help improve productivity and facilitate the development of new technologies. In addition, the company has expanded its process engineering staff to include dedicated technical resources for each of the product platforms.

“Emerald’s activities in debottlenecking and process optimization facilitate our continued growth as we adapt to current and future needs in the global marketplace,” said Frank Prolizo, vice president, Manufacturing, for the Polymer Additives and CVC business groups. “We continue to set aggressive goals for continuous improvement in every aspect of what we do. This is a cornerstone of our management philosophy that creates a spirit of innovation in the organization.”  

“These latest investments enhance our abilities as a leading North American supplier for rubber accelerators and antioxidants, continuing to provide a superior product line that is the most state-of-the-art and comprehensive in our field,” said John Zuppo, commercial vice president forthe Polymer Additives and Nitriles business groups. “The investments will also allow us to develop new technologies that are critical for strengthening our product offerings in the near future, precipitating continued growth for many years.”
