MACtac® recently announced its Roll Label has secured Underwriter Laboratories (UL) Recognition for overlamination after printing on durable films with Environmental Film III No Wax Inks, now providing certification on the entire construction. When using UL-recognized MACtac products, converters reportedly have pre-approved compliance, which means no new testing is required; only a paper transfer, which can be submitted through an Internet portal or by email or phone. Using pre-approved products can reportedly save up to 12 weeks of inconvenient testing.
“New approvals on overlamination after the printing on durable films are a major advantage to converters,” said Kim Hensley, product manager for MACtac Roll Label. “For a flat fee, converters can adopt any UL-certified durable product for UL-recognized label applications and receive approval for the entire construction—ultimately saving time and money to ensure fast market access.”
