The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) recently announced it will join the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Manufacturing Summit as a sponsor and invites its members to participate in the two-day Washington, D.C.-based event. The NAM Fly-In reportedly provides the opportunity to join more than 400 business leaders as they advocate on behalf of pro-manufacturing policies with both legislative- and administration-level officials. This year’s NAM Manufacturing Summit will be held June 2-3 at the Mandarin Oriental Washington.

“The NAM Fly-in and ASC’s sponsorship provides members with an enhanced opportunity to guide the manufacturing agenda and communicate the value our industry brings to the U.S. economy,” said Matthew E. Croson, ASC president. “Member attendees will not only hear firsthand from leaders, we will have the opportunity to communicate our industry’s value to our elected representatives.”

In 2014, NAM Fly-In participants heard from Vice President Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.). Attendees also participate in one-on-one and group meetings with elected officials and senior staff.
