Custom Milling and Consulting Inc. recently announced it is increasing its processing capabilities to better serve its customers. In early 2015, CMC added a new, 36,000-sq.-ft. building to its facilities, 12,000 sq. ft. of which has reportedly been dedicated for increasing wet milling production.

The processing area will reportedly include a new dust collection system, electrical stations with enough capacity to operate up to 1,000 HP of equipment, and 300 sq. ft. of refrigerated storage. In addition, an indoor tank farm will be outfitted with new tanks for large volume production, an automated filling station will be installed to improve batch accuracy, and a 90-ton chiller for products that require precise temperature control.

Several new horizontal media mills and process tanks up to 1,500 gal will reportedly allow CMC to manufacture dispersions for a range of industries. There will be several high-volume stations with CMC horizontal media mills able to achieve sub-micron particle sizes. All the equipment upgrades intend to allow processing capacity up to 5,000 lbs. per hour and over 100,000 lbs. per day, depending on the processing requirements.
