The Dow Chemical Co. recently announced plans to complete a debottlenecking project at its Freeport, Texas, facility intended to increase capacity for glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) in the second quarter of 2016.

“GMA demand continues to grow, and debottlenecking will provide much needed capacity to help us meet and exceed our customer needs,” said Kate Glasser, global business director, monomers. “The extra capacity will expand our capability to help our customers develop high performance coatings that benefit from GMA’s dual acrylic and epoxy functionality.”
