MHG recently announced that its board of directors has approved a new chief executive officer for the company. Stephen Croskrey will take over all duties of the role effective immediately.

“I am thrilled to join the MHG team,” Croskrey said. “MHG provides a lot of great products worldwide and is a revolutionary company changing the plastics industry. I see tremendous potential for growth and I look forward to helping the company increase value, as well as work with the team on enhancing business development opportunities, expanding the range of products offered and increasing production capabilities.”

One of Croskrey’s first undertakings is reportedly to expand the PHA pilot biorefinery eightfold. PHA is a recent technologies offered by MHG, and reportedly the world’s first bioplastic to be certified as degradable in marine water. By expanding, MHG expects to increase PHA sampling activity and hasten the customer application approval process. The company will also commission an engineering study for the nation’s first commercial PHA biorefinery. MHG plans to begin the process of expanding this summer.
