The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) recently announced its ASC Innovation Awards Program, a new award program for 2017. The awards reportedly will recognize innovation in adhesive and sealant product developments. Recipients are expected to demonstrate the value proposition of the novel chemistry and added value in a field application or improvement in design and chemical process.

“The ASC Innovation Awards will recognize and honor the use of an industry technology that has significant impact in a new or different way, in order to promote the innovation orientation of our industry,” said Steve Duren, senior director. “Innovation is one of five key strategies making up the Council’s Long Range Plan, and this new program will focus on promoting our industry while recognizing its most innovative developments.”

The award will be overseen by the ASC Membership Committee and presented at the opening reception at the ASC Annual Spring Convention. Submissions must be received by January 31, 2017.

“This new program will add value to ASC’s Annual Spring Convention and Expo, giving attendees a chance to come together as an industry, celebrate innovation and network with those participating in this prominent industry event,” said Shamsi Gravel, chair of the Membership Committee. “ASC members are engaged in solving some of the world’s leading challenges and it’s time that we honor some of the most innovative solutions that are being shared within our industry.”
