This year’s FEICA European Adhesive & Sealant Conference and Expo, held September 7-9 in Vienna, Austria, was a success according to organizers. Attended by 500 adhesives and sealants professionals, the seminars covered several hot topics in adhesives and sealants, while the Expo booths showed off the latest trends in the industry.

Reportedly a record number of adhesives and sealants professionals came together to discuss market drivers, key challenges, sustainable developments and innovations and new technologies. The theme of the conference's business forum was “Pursuing Growth―Strategic Choices in a Rapidly Changing World” and provided practical insights into a variety of topics such as the circular economy and growth strategies in the adhesives and sealants industry. The conference’s breakout sessions gave delegates a chance to attend informative sessions on a wide range of tracks such as marketing, technical, regulatory and sustainability. The Expo gave strategic suppliers to the industry an opportunity to present their latest developments to an audience of key industry decision makers.

Steve Kenny, FEICA president, opened by welcoming FEICA’s new Secretary General, Philip Bruce.

“The pace of change around the industry continues to accelerate, generating both challenges and opportunities for us all,” said Kenny. “FEICA continues to strive to provide all of its members with the best possible support in order to equip them to effectively tackle those challenges and to aggressively seize opportunities as they present themselves.

“The FEICA Conference and Expo is the perfect platform for the association to showcase what it focusses on, working hard to deliver a beneficial economic and legislative environment for our industry in Europe and to inform and educate our members and other key stakeholders,” said Bruce. “It therefore continues to consolidate its position as Europe’s premier event for the adhesives and sealants industry.”
