A corporate video profiling the Construction & Distribution Division of Bostik has been honored with a Bronze Telly Award in a highly respected national competition of film, video, cable and non-network television programming.

A corporate video profiling the Construction & Distribution Division of Bostik, Middleton, Mass., a $500-million worldwide adhesives and sealants company, has been honored with a Bronze Telly Award in a highly respected national competition of film, video, cable and non-network television programming.

Bostik’s production was among more than 11,000 entries in the 20th annual awards  presentation sponsored by The Center for Creativity, a Cincinnati organization that provides information, seminars and publications for people involved with creative communications.

Entitled We Are Bostik, the 15-minute piece, created by independent filmmaker and director Bill Humphreys, is a retrospective tribute to the workmanship that has fueled Bostik’s rise to prominence. It premiered at the company’s national sales convention last spring, and is now used for business-development initiatives and to further Bostik’s corporate-recruitment efforts.

Bostik’s entry was judged in the noncommercial broadcast category by more than 20 professionals specializing in film and video production. Entries are not judged in a direct competition, but rather are evaluated according to the Center’s high standard of excellence. Films and videos are assessed for concept, writing, on-screen talent, set design, lighting, cinematography, editing and sound production.

The award-winning video was the latest in a long line of distinguished credits for Humphreys. A 35-year veteran of radio, television, film and live theater, Humphreys is a longtime producer and director of motion pictures, documentaries, dramatic and cultural shows, as well as live political and professional sporting events.

Bostik is a unit of TOTALFINA, a $50-billion, multinational company with worldwide interests in oil exploration, petroleum processing and the formulation of specialty chemicals. Bostik is the fifth largest adhesives and sealants manufacturer worldwide, with production facilities in 14 countries and sales operations in 16 additional nations.
