Pyro-Putty 677 is an advanced, single-part, water-dispersed, alumina-silica-based thixotropic adhesive and coating system for use in electrical insulation and bonding applications to 2400 degrees F. Properties include a dielectric strength of 200 volts per mil and a tensile-shear strength of 450 psi. This product is supplied in a paste consistency with a viscosity of 43,000 cps and specific gravity of 2.17 grams/cc. After application, it dries rapidly at room temperature in 1-4 hours and cures in 2 hours at 200 degrees F. This material demonstrates low shrinkage and will not outgas under high-vacuum conditions. Uncured adhesive can be cleaned up easily with warm water.
