The Adhesive and Sealant Council has announced the promotion of Lawrence D. Sloan to the position of president. Since joining ASC in 2001, Sloan has played a vital role in strengthening ASC's membership services and building strategic relationships with end-user organizations and other industry-related trade associations. Under his leadership, ASC's outreach to member companies has improved substantially, and several new programs and services have been developed. Sloan has served as board chair and managed ASC's Building the Industry (BTI) Program, a two-year industry growth initiative targeting structural and assembly applications. He was also instrumental in successfully launching ASC's Smaller Business Program, which currently offers executives from small and medium-sized companies a forum to learn about topics of specific interest to them.
