Assembly East To Feature Free Educational Sessions

Assembly East, the Northeast's leading trade event dedicated exclusively to final product assembly, will provide OEMs and CMs with a variety of assembly solutions both on the show floor and in the conference classroom. The exhibition and conference will take place May 5-6 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA, and will be complemented by four free educational sessions: "Transforming the Lean Enterprise Value Stream," presented by Prof. Deborah Nightingale of the MIT Lean Aerospace Initiative (LAI), May 6, 12:00 p.m.; "The Productivity Challenge: Can U.S. Manufacturers Sustain Improvements?" featuring panel chair John Sprovieri, senior editor of Assembly, May 5, 10:00 a.m.; "Technological Advances in the Electronics Adhesives Industry," sponsored by Adhesives and Sealants Industry magazine and the Adhesives and Sealants Council, May 5, 1:30 p.m.; and "The Human Aspect of Lean: Looking Beyond the Tools," chaired by Bruce Hamilton, GBMP President and Vice Chair of the Shingo Prize Board of Governors, May 6, 1:30 p.m. As in 2003, Assembly East will again co-locate with NEPCON East/Electro, the Northeast's premier electronics manufacturing event.
