MoreWEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. -- ASTM Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants invites participation from the sealants and building community as it updates and harmonizes standard weathering tests that determine the serviceability of seals and sealants exposed outdoors.
Norma D. Searle, Ph.D., a consultant who is leading the activity, said the proposed standards will bring uniform testing to the industry. ASTM International is one of the largest standards-development and delivery systems in the world. ASTM standards are accepted and used in R&D, product testing, quality systems and commercial transactions around the world.
