Bayer Named to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

Bayer recently announced that its stock has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World). The company is one of a handful to be included in the index every year since its inception in 1999. Each year, the index includes the top 10% of the companies in a given sector that best meet certain economic, ecological, ethical and social criteria.

“We are delighted about the renewed inclusion in the DJSI World,” said Wolfgang Plischke, Ph.D., the member of Bayer AG’s Board of Management responsible for Innovation, Technology and Environment. “With the increased significance of innovation management in company analysis, the index underlines how closely sustainability is allied to innovation-an approach that we ourselves are pursuing through our sustainability strategy.”
