Bemis Company, Inc. has announced that its Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 16 cents per share. The dividend was payable on June 1 to shareholders of record at the close of business on May 18, 2004. It was also announced that David S. Haffner, president and COO of Leggett & Platt, Inc., was elected to the Bemis Board of Directors. Haffner has held a variety of operations leadership positions at Leggett & Platt, a diversified manufacturer of engineered products and components, and has been a member of their board of directors since 1995. "We are pleased to welcome David Haffner to the Bemis Board," said Jeff Curler, president and CEO of Bemis Company. "His experience managing global manufacturing operations will be an asset to the Board and we look forward to his insight and involvement with Bemis."
