John Antony Bishopp, formerly of Hexcel Composites and currently managing director of the adhesives and adhesion consultancy Star Adhesion Ltd., was the sixth recipient of the de Bruyne Medal. The medal was awarded at the Society for Adhesives and Adhesion’s International Adhesion 11 conference, which took place in September. The medal is presented in acknowledgement of the recipient’s personal contribution to innovation in the field of adhesives.

The medal was presented by Michael J Elwell, Ph.D., Global Research director for the sponsors, Huntsman Advanced Materials (Switzerland).
