This company has announced the availability of a new design of its PowerMix planetary disperser for viscous mixtures requiring a combination of slow and high-speed agitation.

This new design combines two slow-speed planetary stirrers with two conventional high-speed dispersers. All agitators revolve on their own axes as well as a common axis, and each agitator is independently driven to allow for individual control of the speed. The high-speed blades provide an intensive shearing action, which is fed by the continuous movement of the planetary stirrers. The combined action of the two planetary blades also removes material from the tank wall to ensure superior heat transfer during the mixing process. PowerMix units are available in many sizes, from ½ gal to 750 gal working capacity.
