B.A.G. Corp.

B.A.G. Corp., Dallas, has formed a Technical Service Group (TSG) to aid users of flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs). The group is available to assist in new processing and packaging operations involving FIBCs and can help with issues surrounding current FIBC applications. The TSG also has the expertise to audit and evaluate the design and features of FIBCs currently in use.

Cummins Inc.

Cummins Inc., Columbus, Ind., has signed an agreement with Loctite Corp., Rocky Hill, Conn., naming Loctite as its preferred supplier of adhesive and sealant products. The five-year agreement includes all of Cummins' U.S. facilities and will be phased in over the next six months. Loctite has provided anaerobic and RTV sealants and integrated dispensing equipment to Cummins for use in its diesel engines and power-generation products for almost 40 years.

Degussa Corp.

Degussa Corp.'s Silanes Business Unit, Parsippany, N.J., has named Dorsett and Jackson, Los Angeles, the official distributor of its organosilanes product line for the West Coast states, including Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

Emerson & Cuming

Emerson & Cuming, Canton, Mass., has opened a new facility at its Canton site dedicated to the manufacture of no-flow fluxing underfills, ink-jet cartridge, glob-top and surface-mount adhesives. The new facility has been named the Special Packaging Department. The facility contains an 800-sq-ft, Class 100,000 humidity-controlled clean room and a 3,000-sq-ft manufacturing room with lab-like conditions.

Hoover Materials Handling Group, Inc.

Hoover Materials Handling Group, Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., has entered into an agreement with National Container Group (NCG) to provide container-refurbishing services for Hoover's container-recovery programs. Under the agreement, NCG has purchased and will operate the container-refurbishing portion of Hoover's plant in Charlotte, N.C.

Marshall and Williams Plastics

Marshall and Williams Plastics, Woonsocket, R.I., has announced that a Sherman Treater for in-line corona treatment has recently been commissioned at the company's new Lab/Pilot Facility in Providence, R.I., and is now available for customer use. The new pilot facility is equipped with a two-sided treater station, which is capable of single-sided, double-sided and "dual-pass" single-sided treatment.

The M.F. Cachat Co.

The M.F. Cachat Co., a regional specialty-chemicals sales and distribution company, relocated its corporate headquarters in August to 14600 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107. The company supplies products for the adhesives and sealants, coatings, and ink markets.
