Elementis Specialties-Rheox, Hightstown, N.J., has been presented with a Gold Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Compliance Award for 1999 from the Missouri Water Environment Association. The award was given for the compliance efforts of the company’s manufacturing facility located in St. Louis. Gold Award winners must be in compliance with all wastewater discharge and reporting requirements, have a pollution-prevention program in place, and have a history of good relations with the nominating sewer district.
