This company has announced the launch of its new Wingtack^® STS aromatically modified C5 resin. This hydrocarbon resin is designed for improved compatibility and performance with low-cost SBS block copolymers. When used in butadiene-based elastomers, Wingtack STS offers extremely low odor and excellent compatibility with polar elastomers.

A breakthrough in reducing total system costs, Wingtack STS allows the use of SBS block co-polymers at higher levels in blends with other polymers. The innovative technology of Wingtack STS also provides lower melt viscosities than typical SBS systems, which is ideal for the demanding, high-speed coating needed on today's tape and label equipment. Applications for this modified resin include non-woven construction, pressure-sensitive and hot-melt adhesives.
